72 Poplar Street Sold; Conversion to Be Attempted (again).

The sale of 72 Poplar Street is good news for the Heights, since something might finally happen with this vacant former police precinct. The Daten Group reportedly bought the 1913 building for $7.5 million—much less than its $12 million asking price. I think the $7.5 million is a good starting point, considering the time and [...]

My 2 Cents: 291 Hoyt Street, Gowanus

Your chance to own a single-family row house, although of rental quality. This single-family home is in need of improvement and near the edge of a residential area. But while its price per square foot is high, its small size makes it relatively affordable at $1.5 million—so it could be your opportunity to own your [...]

My 2 Cents: 452 Sackett Street, Gowanus

For the adventurous, a chance to buy buildable space. Recently I stopped by the open house for this single-family row house with one of my buyer clients. It’s listed for $1,295,000, or $761/square foot—pricing I find to be a bit aggressive.  Although the property shows well—it’s in good shape, clean, well-decorated, and has extensive original [...]
