I just read "Montrose Morris"'s account of William Hemstreet. He is my wife's "Uncle Bill", and we just mounted a series of photographs, showing him as a private, lieutenant, and then colonel. I also have a clipping about the Poe mantle, if I can find it. Let me know if you'd like me to send a picture of the photos.

I am doing research on my Uncle - Joe DeVoto - who worked most of his life at Joe's Restaurant (Fulton Street) in Brooklyn. Do you know of any articles or web sites that may aid me in my research.
Thank you
Bob DeVoto

The numbers for Brooklyn Heights seem like complete nonsense. They are showing up to a 20% decline in population in the neighborhood since 2000! That makes no sense at all.

Will do. As a developer and marketer of real estate, I am very conscious of my brand's public image. I spend a great deal of time and care making sure my clients know they are acquiring the best there is.

What a commendable set of goals! Truman Capote is one of our heroes at our image clinic. Not only for his literary innovations, but also for his sartorial style. Believe it or not, we teach clients to improve their image by studying his life and work. I wish I could have been at this event but I didn't know about it until just now (February 2011). Please put me on your email list and let ManhattanMakeovers.com know of any future events.
